SOCIAL INCLUSION & COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION
True
inclusion happens when individuals with autism are welcomed, valued, and given
the opportunity to share in everyday social spaces. At AACT, we actively engage
our learners in community-based activities that strengthen their social
interaction, confidence, and independence.
From
visits to shopping malls, markets, and recreational centres, these experiences
allow learners to practise real-world skills while raising public awareness
about autism. Each outing is more than an excursion — it is a step toward
breaking down stigma, fostering acceptance, and demonstrating the valuable
contributions autistic individuals can make within society.
Families
and caregivers play a vital role in this journey, and we actively partner with
them to extend inclusion beyond the Centre and into everyday community life.
Together, we are building a society that embraces inclusion as a shared and
collective responsibility.
